主要研究方向包括干细胞分化及羽毛发育研究。主持2项福州大学科技发展基金，参与国家自然科学基金委面上项目1项，青年基金1项，省自然科学基金1项。目前已在 Development，European Journal of Organic Chemistry，International Journal of Biological Sciences, Circulation Research等国际杂志上发表过多篇 SCI 文章。
